Answers to frequently asked questions

Everything you always wanted to know about round household towels but were afraid to ask.  We fill in the answers to those baffling Ora-related queries.

Why are Ora household towels round?

More often than not, when kitchen towel is used, the four corners are hardly ever touched. This represents a lot of wasted paper.  The round shape of Ora better lends itself to being used with one hand, as it fits more naturally into the palm of your hand.  Finally, the round shape means the product is much more space efficient than ordinary rolls.  As it is more compact, it takes less space in lorries, on the retailer shelf and in the home.  So Ora is very eco-friendly too!

Why is Ora better than my usual kitchen towel?

Ora is the world's first all-round household towel that features a modern compact stacking system allowing you to grab a single sheet with just one hand. It offers superior functionality and efficiency whilst looking incrediably stylish. The emphasis on design means it doesn't look out of place in the bathroom or on your dining room table - indeed it sits beautifully in any room in the home. Ora is an everyday functional product that looks anything but functional.

Additionally, Ora is eco-friendly. With no cardboard inner tube, we can stack more product into a lorry, so from our factory to the supermarket we're not transporting air. With no perforations it offers an easy one-hand grab so there is no tearing, no unravelling and no wastage making it an all round eco-friendlier purchase.

Are there really 100 sheets in a stack of Ora?

Yes! Because Ora sheets are cleverly stacked and not rolled around an inner cardboard tube, one Ora stack contains 100 sheets.  So, no need to wastefully transport empty air inside a cardboard tube ever again!  This also means more space on your work surface and in your cupboards.

Ora sheet diameter is 235mm and the 100 sheet stack has a total paper area of 4.3m2.

Are Ora household towels as absorbent & strong as my current towel?

We believe Ora towels strike the right balance between strength and absorbency and are wonderfully versatile.  Importantly, they are strong enough when wet and soft enough to wipe a child's face.

What is the difference between Ora household towels & Ora napkin?

Ora napkins are made with a luxurious paper grade using a technique called Air Laid. This technique gives the paper a softer, linen like effect with excellent absorption and strength.  Air Laid paper gives a more refined luxurious appearance than standard paper napkins.

Why are Ora napkins better than other traditional square napkins?

The Ora napkin is a round versatile paper napkin that can be used in a variety of ways: as a napkin, a plate, a cone shaped snack holder, a stylish placemat on a kitchen or dining table or to clean up after eating. Featuring Ora’s signature cone-shaped, one-hand grab stacking system, Ora napkins are perfect for canapes and cocktail parties as well as snacking moments. Each Ora napkin stack contains 50 high quality round paper napkins which can be simply lifted off from the top of the stack.  Ora's innovative design not only challenges conventions of what a napkin should look like but has ensured there is  less paper used than the traditional square napkin.
